Coffee Hour in The Roberts Room located directly behind the Sanctuary

Our Coffee Hour ministry benefits Habitat For Humanity The Dalles!

ABOUT HABITAT FOR HUMANITY:
Our mission:
Habitat for Humanity believes that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. We build and repair houses all over the world using volunteer labor and donations. Our partner families purchase these houses through no-profit, no-interest mortgage loans or innovative financing methods.

The Heifer Project is our Summer Mission Project.
We raise money to send an animal to help others.

This year our Heifer Project is not selecting a specific animal. We are designating our monies to go to the greatest need. Remember all Garden Exchange funds go to Heifer, International. We will conclude our
project on October 4th, World Communion Sunday.

The Heifer Project: Our Work

To End Hunger & Poverty
Heifer International’s mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth.

By giving families a hand-up, not just a hand-out, we empower them to turn lives of hunger and poverty into self-reliance and hope.

With gifts of livestock and tariing, Heifer projects help families improve their nutrition and generate income in sustainable ways. We refer to our animal donats as “living loans” because in excahnge for their livestock and training, families agree to give one of its animal’s offspring to another family in need. It’s called Passing on the Gift — a cornerstone of our mission that creates an ever-expanding network of hope and peace.
